About Julian Doby
I am Julian Doby, a personal injury attorney admitted to practice in North Carolina in 1998. I represent people hurt in vehicle crashes and families with wrongful death claims, and I work from one office in Graham. I also own and fly a Piper Arrow, which lets me meet clients across the state.

I have practiced in North Carolina since 1998, and my practice is personal injury only. That means car, truck and motorcycle crashes and wrongful death claims, for injured people and families anywhere in the state.
This page lists the facts you can check about me, then covers my education and Guard service, the plane, the supply flights in October 2024, how a client works with me and the two sister sites.

Why does a personal injury attorney in Graham fly a Piper Arrow?
I own and fly a Piper Arrow, a 1976 Piper PA-28R-200 registered in my name in Graham under FAA registration N8651C. I fly it so that distance does not decide which injured people get to sit down with an attorney.
An injured person in a county far from Graham has the same need to talk with an attorney face to face as someone who lives down the street from my office. The plane is what lets me offer an in-person meeting anywhere in North Carolina.
I fly it so that distance does not decide which injured people get to sit down with an attorney.
The offer is the same wherever you are. What I can promise is the phone or video conversation and then the in-person meeting.

How a client starts working with me, from first call to decision
A client starts working with me by calling the office or sending a visit request, and nothing starts until that first contact. We talk first by phone or video. After that I can come to you and meet in person at your home or another place you choose.
Whether we work together is decided at that in-person meeting and not on the phone. The decision stays with you.
The attorney you talk with first is the attorney who comes to meet you, and the in-person meeting is where the decision is made.
Lorena Meza, a paralegal who speaks Spanish, works with me and is the office's Spanish-language contact, so a client who would rather talk in Spanish can reach the office through her. Each step of a visit, with what to bring is laid out in order on its own page.
